Recently I took a canoe trip with my family. We had decided
that we hadn't used the canoe in too long and found a
supposedly nice place over in Alabama. We drove over and on reaching the place found it packed. We only had about 10ft to
set up our tent in and live for a night. We took the canoe off
the top of the car and brought it down to the water's edge.
Then we all got in, paddled away from shore and away from
all the people, until we were passed by motoring fishermen.
We paddled as fast as we could to the
other side of the lake and found it
completely bare. No sign of human life
until we turned ourselves around and
saw the campsites. We decided quickly
to face the other direction. We paddled
back to our campsite and ate dinner.
Then we went to bed, paddled around
a little more the next day, then went
home. It was a fun trip, besides all the
people.

I was walking on the road at night, going to the market to get
a notebook when I heard huge noise far ahead. When I went
to inquire, I saw a kitten lying on the road, nearly run over by
a car. The driver was talking on his cell phone and didn't concentrate on the road where a kitten was crossing in its
usual manner. The sudden break, the scream of the kitten and
the shouting of the passing people emerged as a huge noise which attracted people like me but thank God, no one was injured. I returned home to tell my folks about it but on my returning home, my mom's question caught me by surprise.
She asked me whether I had bought the notebook or not and I had, in all the excitement, forgotten about it.

I bought five candy bars while returning from school the
other day. But on reaching home, I found none. I was
puzzled over my loss and asked everyone I had met after
coming home. My mother was laughing when I asked her and
so were my sisters who just couldn't stop themselves from
their evil giggling. I asked my dad why they were laughing on
my loss and he smiled and told me that there was no loss. I had eaten all candy bars on my way
back home and the remains of the bar on my
mouth were proof of that. I was so embarrassed that I would have cried had my sisters not been there. But when I think of it now, I laugh on my idiotic act.

My teacher usually asked me why I am so much fond of
myself and I always told her that that is the way I have been
made and that is the way I will stay for ever, so why not love myself! The best thing I found about myself is the fact that I
am the master of my life and never take a step that is wrong
for me. I try to stay away from trouble by thinking of nothing
but me, my life and what would I do in the future. I also think
about the fate of the world and also about the
next World Series. I am master of my life and do whatever I please and desire. I don't take no
for an answer and it is unlikely that I would be pressurized to do something that I won't try to
do. And I am still the 9 year old boy who makes
tall claims and has a lot of life to live.
